Actual Questions and their Answers[edit | edit source]

About Gameplay[edit | edit source]

  • Question
Will a custom Templar have access to all the same skills and stats as Marcus, or will our customs always be a slightly less effective version of a comparable story character?
Also, with the jobs, are all the jobs of the story characters also available to custom characters, or will there be certain jobs that are off-limits to our custom characters?

  • Answer
There won't be a huge different between custom characters and main story characters. We haven't finalized our designs yet but that is our intentions.
And yes, all the jobs available to the story characters are available to custom characters,

  • Question
Will there be a New Game+ option?
  • Answer
Yes there will be.

  • Question
Will Armor be weighted? And if so, will it affect the character’s ability to move in any way?
  • Answer
No and No.

  • Question
Will there be Armor Effects like Haste and others?
  • Answer
Yes, there will be – specifics haven’t been decided, but it is in the pipeline.

  • Question
What is the Average Battle Length?
  • Answer
We haven’t decided yet, it depends on how long we want the game as a whole to be as well. Missions will usually be around 5 – 10 minutes, but the longest battles will probably be around 30 minutes or so. This is all undecided but will be clarified at a later date.

  • Question
Will there be any active time events or skits like in Final Fantasy 9?
  • Answer
We can think about it – but it’s a great idea! We’d love to do it.

  • Question
Can you describe the overworld?
  • Answer
Now that we have hit the overworld stretch goal, the overworld will be 1:1 ratio. Think WoW with a top-down perspective. You can sneak up on enemies, get ambushed, or find treasure, just like in a battle – all while you’re going to the next town. No more miniature towns and giant sprites on a map.

  • Question
Is the game more like Final Fantasy Tactics or Starcraft?
  • Answer
Both. Imagine Final Fantasy Tactics as a RTS game like StarCraft without Resource Gathering.

  • Question
Any Chance of Double or Triple attacks?
  • Answer
Yes – there will be haste and similar effects that will have that effect. Specific details have not been decided.

  • Question
Will there be Penguins in the game?
  • Answer
Well now that you’ve said it!

  • Question
Will random characters join our party throughout the game or will we need to search them out or create them?
  • Answer
There will be characters who join your party after speaking to them or completing quests – as well as characters than join you normally throughout the story.

  • Question
Will there be airships?
  • Answer
There will be Dragons.

  • Question
Why RTS? Why not a Turn-Based RPG?
  • Answer
Because it’s been done before. We can’t make anything more interesting than what is out there right now if we stuck to a Turn-Based model. If we were going to do that, we’d have made a Kickstarter for a Final Fantasy rip-off and called it Final Fantasia. We wanted something different, and that’s Project Phoenix.

  • Question
Will there be a weapon triangle or triangle-based system in the game? (Axe>Lance>Sword>Axe – etc?)
  • Answer
We are not planning to, but it is still being decided – we aim to give more flexibility than that to our players. [Cronus' 'Answer', September 11-13]

  • Question
Are any other characters being planned other than the 7 you have announced? Maybe a Female Knight or Blacksmith?
  • Answer
We have a few being planned, but we can’t comment on upcoming characters and classes. We do not plan to have 144 classes or characters, if that is what you mean. You can still select the gender and class of your customized characters though, so any combination Is possible.

  • Question
Can you comment on spells in the game? Cooldowns, MP-based, other?
  • Answer
We have many spells of varying types and effects planned. There will be buffs, debuffs, healing, elemental, AoE, cast-timers, auto-casting. Spells being used depend on the mode you set your unit to. Aggressive will hardly use healing spells, but will attack ferociously – and so on.

  • Question
How will RTS gameplay work with the PS4 and Vita versions of the game?
  • Answer
With the Vita, you can use the front and back touch panels to interact with your units and command them. We do not have final confirmation on the PS4 touch panel capabilities, so until we know that, we will assume you can use the d-pad to select units and the thumb stick to control them.

  • Question
How fast paced is the gameplay? Will players need to react quickly to changes in the battlefield, or will we have time to strategize and plan?
  • Answer
We aim to make it ‘just right’ – not too slow, not too fast. Actions are fast because most smaller enemies die in one hit. (Your heroes are heroes after all!) The only way your characters will die is if they get overrun or killed by a boss. We are still currently debating a pause/slow-motion “Command Menu” among the game-design team, because it may make the game too easy. We may use a “Command Menu” on easier difficulties as a result, but we look forward to talking to Developers and asking for their input.

  • Question
Regarding Skills, do we need to fill up a skill tree before moving on to the next one, or can we mix and match?
  • Answer
You can mix and match among your skill trees and only max out one.

  • Question
Will there be flying enemies? Will ranged attackers be the only ones that can attack these enemies?
  • Answer
We may do this for a boss fight, but it won’t be fair if there is never a point where melee units can attack the enemy. Because of this, we will not have regular enemy units that cannot be attacked by melee units.

  • Question
You mentioned 7 Classes, what are they? Will there be a Thief class? If there is, can they steal and loot during battle?
  • Answer
In addition to Ruffles, classes announced so far will be the: Battle Mage (Zarum), Pathfinder (Sylrianah), Samurai (Satsuki), Kunoichi (Female Ninja / Unannounced), Drawf Warrior (Gorem), Templar (Marcus), and Paladin (Unannounced). We can definitely add a thieving ability to our ninja class, thank you for the idea!

  • Question
How will characters be able to change classes or switch abilities?
  • Answer
Characters will not be able to switch classes. However, you can still change skills through each character’s multiple skill trees. Example: You can change the samurai to have AoE skills or Single-Target skills.

  • Question
What do you have planned for the crafting system? Will there also be loot?
  • Answer
There will be loot – but it will be given to you at the end of the battle and will not have to be clicked on to be picked up. Included in this loot are things like materials, which you can then take to a blacksmith in town and use to craft armors and items.

  • Question
How far will you be able to level up a single character through their skill trees? Will you be able to max out all trees on a single character?
  • Answer
You can max out ONE skill tree at a time but we intend to make it impossible to max out both on a single character. It may be fun to have, but it’s just overpowered.

  • Question
Will there be any unique joke weapons and armors we can find such as clown clothes or a lollipop mace?
  • Answer
Definitely, we want to include a lot of these. (Potato-Gun Ruffles anyone?)

  • Question
Are weapon classes locked to any specific class of fighter, or can we use them on anyone?
  • Answer
Depends on the class. Some classes can wield multiple types of weapons, while others can only use one or two. A good example of this is Marcus, who is a Weapon Master and can wield many types of weapons – whereas Satsuki the Samurai can only use Swords.

  • Question
Will the game be “hard core”? How long will it take to complete a level? How long to complete the game?
  • Answer
We are deciding that still – and trying to find out ‘how long feels right’ as well as how long it takes testers to get to Lvl 99 (Current level cap). We aim to keep the game hard core, as our audience and backer-base is mainly comprised of hard core gamers. We aim to put in as much content as possible, not only main storyline, but side-quests as well.

  • Question
Is there a level cap right now?
  • Answer
Currently Level 99.

  • Question
Will the game have Mod support?
  • Answer
Not at this moment sorry!

  • Question
Is the main protagonist of the game customizable?
  • Answer
The main characters of the game will not be customizable, but there will be other playable characters that you will be able to customize.

  • Question
Would it be too early to ask what game engine Project Phoenix will be using?
  • Answer
We are using Unity to create the game.

  • Question
Will there be multiple difficulty levels for those of us that are looking for additional challenge?
  • Answer
Yes, there will be multiple difficulty levels. They will increase in health, strength, abilities AND artificial intelligence!

  • Question
Is game saving automatically or manually done and will the game offer multiple save slots?
  • Answer
Game saving will be done manually, and automatically, as well as use multiple save slots.

  • Question
Are we going to fight using 'generic minions' in Project Phoenix battles? Or are we going to use only story-related characters?
  • Answer
There will be times, for the sake of the story, that you will be required to have certain main characters in your squads. However, we want your squad make-up to be your decision, and there will be times that all squads can be made up entirely of non-main characters. -Cronus

  • Question
I hope the camera for this game doesn't move around all the time. I'll probably get dizzy from playing within an hour.
  • Answer

The camera will be a floating fixed point with an ability to zoom somewhat. We're not going to make it rotatable, but nothing will really obstruct the player's view. And if it does, the obstructing object will become opaque [probably meant transparent] so that the players will be able to see what the character is doing.

  • Question
How dynamic will the camera be in combat? Will it zoom in for certain attacks or spells?
  • Answer
We are planning to have a birds-eye view camera, top down on the battlefield, with a slight zoom functionality. We are not currently planning special camera angles for certain attacks at the moment.

  • Question
Will the Phoenix Wings for backers for Kickstarter backers have benefits in combat or are they completely cosmetic?
  • Answer
Completely cosmetic. We want to avoid the “Pay to Win” mentality at all costs.

  • Question
What are you most excited about for Project Phoenix?
  • Answer
The Battle System. What we have planned, we don’t believe anyone has done yet, and we want to see how everyone likes it – we’re going to put our all into making it amazing.

  • Question
What is the Guild hall? Is it a player home?
  • Answer
No – it is more like a hangout location for all of your party. If we achieve that stretch goal, you would see them interact and relax and stuff. Specifics haven’t been decided.

  • Question
Will any enemies use time-manipulation spells in combat?
  • Answer
We are looking into the possibility of using ‘pause magic’ to allow a command menu. We may do other time-based spells if it is decided those are possible and a good idea.

  • Question
When you move into an enemy area, will all enemies suddenly react? Or will enemies react separately as you approach them?
  • Answer
If they see you, they will react, but if they don’t, they won’t. Stealth is possible to an extent.

About Story/Characters/Lore[edit | edit source]

  • Question
Will there be any sort of mascot character, for instance, a Chocobo?
  • Answer
We have Ruffles! There was a joke going around that we could make the default name of our phoenix “Boco” as a reference to Chocobo, but that… may not be a good idea. We’re thinking about a mascot character though.

  • Question
Will we be able to effect the balance and government of the world of Azuregard?
  • Answer
Yes.

  • Question
Will there be Orc Party members?
  • Answer
Maybe for now.

  • Question
Any interesting Character naming stories?
  • Answer
Yes actually – Ruffles is actually called Rafel in the story for the game – but one of the Japanese members said her name, and it instantly became confused with “Ruffles” – as the name caught on, Larry stepped in saying “Dude.. You can’t do that – Ruffles Is a potato chip brand!” The name stuck, and Potato Gun Ruffles was born!

  • Question
Will events and decisions early in the game impact choices and events later in the game?
  • Answer
No – we don’t think that’s fair. We prefer open options for gamers. Having decisions too early in the game may be too cruel to players later on. We will however have a system in the game that uses your name and birthday to affect stats on your character slightly. Some will go up, some will go down.

  • Question
Will there be an encyclopedia and model viewer?
  • Answer
We had not given thought to it, but that is something very easy to do and something we would love to do. Keep posted.

  • Question
Will there be any Romance between any of the characters?
  • Answer
While we are planning to have romances in the game, they will be limited due to the situations our characters find themselves in. There’s a war going on, remember that.

  • Question
Can we expect to see the characters get into funny situations with each other in the story? Maybe something like Marcus getting involved in something he shouldn’t have?
  • Answer
The Majority of the story will be serious, but we plan to put in some comedic relief in the form of Ruffles, the Fellinia’s, and a few more moments as well.

  • Question
Can you tell us more about the Kraken?
  • Answer
The Kraken is essentially a giant squid monster that was formed during the demise of a nation destroyed by Angels for their sins. The feeling of anguish from that event has taken the form of the Kraken, that eats anything from people to boats – but because it doesn’t digest things, these people are forced to live inside the Kraken in what is essentially a Kraken City. As your party journeys inside it, the mystery or why it does this and what the Kraken really is, is revealed. I don’t want to spoil too much.

  • Question
How much background story will each character have in the game?
  • Answer
We plan on fully explaining each character’s background story throughout the game, as well as NPC’s. We think about the lore first, and build characters into it, rather than the Japanese style of building lore around the main character.

  • Question
Will there be any Racism or Species-ism in the game?
  • Answer
There will be many undertones of hate going on between different races. One example is that Marcus’ home-country has a high degree of xenophobia towards the other races.

  • Question
Can you tell us more about the world of Azuregard?
  • Answer
We are basing the world off the concept of “High-Fantasy,” something like what you’d see in a Tolkien novel… But that’s boring! So we’ve added our own races in addition (The Fellinia’s), as well as the land of Akitsu which is modeled off Japan, monsters, people and all. We compliment this by combining Japanese-style RPG Art with Western Story sensibilities.

  • Question
What is the Age Range of Characters in the Game? Older ages would set it apart from most “childish” RPG’s.
  • Answer
Ruffles is the only child, at 12, but gets older throughout the story. Next youngest is Marcus at 20. Sylrianah is the oldest in the group, at 100+.

  • Question
What is the in game currency called?
  • Answer
Currently we have three different currencies. I think it was something like the Mon used by Akitsu, Crysta used by the Dwarves and Rue (my memory is shady!) used by the humans of the Far Realm and the Empire of Alexander. This may change... but here it is for now!

  • Question
Will there be other races than Human, Dwarf, Elf and Orc?
  • Answer
Although we have a pretty Tolkienesque approach, please do expect at least one unique race and a Japanese-like race from the nation of Akitsu.

  • Question
Is Project Phoenix the name of the actual game?
  • Answer
Project Phoenix is the game's codename, we will have a proper video game title before launch.

About Rewards/Reward Tiers[edit | edit source]

  • Question
Information on the “Making of” Documentary?
  • Answer
We will be asking our backers what they want to see in the documentary.

  • Question
Are there any other ways than pledging to help out the project?
  • Answer
Of course! Visit us on the forums, mention us on gaming sites and other forums you visit, and spread the word! The more people that know about us, the more people we can reach the bigger we can grow!

  • Question
For the Kickstarter Artbook, will it be Hardcover? Also – are you aiming for a certain page count?
  • Answer
We have over 1000 ordered, but those decisions are in the hands of our designer, Kusana(?) designs. These people are professionals, and I can promise that they have already done some amazing stuff here in Japan.

  • Question
Will the Artbook be available with the PS4 and Vita versions of the game?
  • Answer
Maybe – we are looking to do this if possible, but it depends on the situation with Sony what we are trying to work on at the moment. We will let you all know asap.

  • Question
Is it possible to upgrade my pledge to a higher one?
  • Answer
Since the Kickstarter is now over, any upgrades can only be made on Paypal pledges made through Paypal. Contact us through the email you used for your original Paypal purchase, and we can refund you your pledge. You can then choose a new pledge at our Paypal store.

  • Question
Will there be more chances outside of the original Kickstarter to get an Original Playable Character in the game or a chance to pledge for higher tiers such as, BOSS after the Kickstarter is finished? If so, when?
  • Answer
Due to time constraints, we cannot accept PLAYER CHARACTER or BOSS pledges through Paypal after the Kickstarter – but ENTREPENEUR will still be available on Paypal for a limited time.

  • Question
How long will the Paypal stay open?
  • Answer
We're thinking of making this available until the last possible moment, probably around June 2014.

  • Question
Treasure hunter includes Adventure for two (70$) but does not include Fiery Steed (80$) is this intended?
  • Answer
TREASURE HUNTER Level reward includes FIERY STEED Level rewards, not Adventure For Two Level Rewards. Sorry for the typo!

  • Question
Will the digital rewards be applicable to the PS4 and VITA releases?
  • Answer
The rewards listed here in is limited to the Win/Mac/Linux versions of the game.
UPDATE: Rewards might be available for PS4 and Vita. More info soon.

[update#17, September 04-13]

UPDATE

We are not selling a PLAYSTATION's Collector's Edition of the game. We are only selling the PC version. However, the Treasure Hunter pack will include a PLAYSTATION code that allows the unlock of certain items if you buy the Download version of the game FOR FREE. -Hiro [update#22, September 09-13]

  • Question
Will the digital rewards (egg, mount, etc) be available to all the accounts in a ADVENTURE FOR TWO and higher tiers?
  • Answer
We are [giving] two of each reward items (so one per account) on these reward tiers!

  • Question
So I was wondering in what format will the soundtrack be delivered?
  • Answer
For the Digital download edition, you'd most likely (we haven't finalized) receive the 192kbps .mp3 version of the soundtrack. In the physical DVD KS edition, you'll receive a data DVD containing 48/24 wav files which is pretty much at "original" quality. For the CD release, that's not available to Kickstarter but maybe we can get this distributed through a label somewhere once the game is out.

  • Question
For those of us with access to the developer forum, will we be able to interact with the director and writer(s) much or ask them questions?
  • Answer
The Developer Forum gives you access to the Director and Writers, allowing you interact with them. This is especially important since we feel that two-way communication is vital to making this game a success.

  • Question
I've already pledged for 35$, but I intend to get a box copy of the game at 120$. I am wondering what will be the shipping cost for (insert country).
  • Answer
They will be shipped in a special package from Japan. The shipping cost is included in the price of the reward tier

[Project's Kickstarter main page, Rewards section]

  • Question
I see you commented saying that the PS4/Vita copy will not be available through the KS, but instead through your website. If these are added after the KS ends, will the Digital collector tier be available for these copies of the game, or is that KS exclusive? Also, for those buying the PS4/Vita copies, will we be able to get access to the Beta/Alpha versions of the game, or are these for PC only backers?
  • Answer
We are currently working on a standalone tier for the PlayStation version to place on the Project Phoenix website, so expect that before the KickStarter ends. The plan is to reduce the price of this tier by as much as possible, so the only other rewards included will be the in-game items. More information will be available once we announce this tier.

  • Question
Will there be no way for us to choose addons? As you've probably deduced from the amount of comments I've made regarding this, I REALLY want the content available in the Digital collector tier. Can't you figure out a way for me to give you more money?
  • Answer
The rewards available for Digital Collector will be available following the KickStarter campaign. I am creating the post-KS rewards, and currently the only differences is a price increase and I believe the KS artbook includes some extra exclusive goodies - I need to verify that, though I believe it's been stated before. We want to set up a store that allows everyone to select each individual item they want, but this will take time. So in the meantime we've tried to bundle everything together that we believe the majority of people will want.
Shipping is expensive, and we have budgeted for it during KickStarter. We've given KS backers with the lowest priced pledges we can provide, and they will be raised following the KickStarter campaign.

  • Question
Yeah the instruments interest me too. Wonder what they'll do!
  • Answer
Concerning the Musical items, we originally had a specific function for them in battle (we may still use it). However, I suggested that we leave the option up to the backers to decide so expect a vote on the forums for Composer level backers and up.
I imagine it could be anything from buffs to the ability to teleport, maybe each item does something slightly different. As long as it doesn't break the game, the decision will be yours.

  • Question
Is the Sylrianah figurine only available through the Puppeteer tier?
  • Answer
The Limited Edition figure will be available if you add 250$ to your pledge amount if you pledged under 950$. The GSC Limited Edition Sylrianah figurine will be available for some time after the KS campaign on our website(250$). The Standard Edition will be available only from GSC (Good Smiles Company) directly.

About Stretch Goals[edit | edit source]

  • Question
Are any multiplayer plans in development in any way – even though we have yet to reach that stretch goal (4M)?
  • Answer
If we do have time – which I doubt – we will try. At our current funding ($1,058,000+) and staff levels, it’s safe to say that we will not be able to be successful in creating a multiplayer component. We do appreciate your efforts in backing us however, and we want to reach even more Stretch Goals with your help.
  • Question
The 800,000$ stretch goal seems useless when compared to the 1.025mil stretch goal, can we switch them as not to waste funds?
  • Answer
We have many backer complaints in regards to the 800,000 stretch goal.

I think our team may have done a poor job at explaining it better, this so called stretch goal, is basically a fan service. It doesn't cost much at all to print these posters but this is our way of saying "THANK YOU" for pledging. The money is being banked on the next 1m+ stretch goal so please don't think we are wasting resources on this.

  • Question
What happens if we fall between stretch goals, like funding stopping at $1.4 M rather than making it to $1.65 M?
  • Answer
We will try to do something of a half-way goal. If stretch goals have multiple pieces to them – like in the case of $1.65M being 2 zones, orchestral music, and side stories – we will attempt to do one or two of the parts, and unfortunately sacrifice one. For the orchestra, we may record a single hour instead of 2 or 3 hours of music.

About Game Accessibility[edit | edit source]

  • Question
Will you be putting Project Phoenix on Steam Greenlight?
  • Answer
Yes, we'd love to put our game on Steam!

  • Question
Do I need to be online in order to play the game, or is activation of a single copy of the game the only online necessity?
  • Answer
You only need a one time activation which requires you to be online. There are several features that requires you to be online to use, but you can finish the whole game and have fun to the maximum potential as a single player game without being online. Unless there are updates of course!

  • Question
What languages will this game be in?
  • Answer
Japanese & English initially!
We are proud to announce a Project Phoenix German localization!

[update#14, September 02-13]

  • Question
I saw that you said the game will be in Japanese and in English. Will we have the choice of which version we want? I would like to have the game in Japanese.
  • Answer
We're going to make it so that you can set the language you'd want to play in. Currently voice acting is planned in both Japanese and English for cutscenes/story related scenes. There will be "voice acting" for the battles, but we are classifying that as a sound effect not voice acting. We have an additional stretch goal prepared to make the entire game voice acted, not just story related scenes.

  • Question
Will the game still receive bug fixes, DLC, etc after it is released?
  • Answer
Don't know about DLC, we hate charging people for little bits and pieces but there will absolutely be updates to clean bugs and balances!

  • Question
Will I need Steam to download and/or play this game?
  • Answer
No, it will also be available from our own website and also considering putting this up on GoG.

  • Question
Will this game be available on PS4/Vita?
  • Answer
Yes!

[update#17, September 04-13]

  • Question
Do we need to add more to our pledges if we want to have this on more than one platform? Assuming it encompasses every platform and the Sony ones are locked in, I would go for Android, PC and PS4/VITA (I imagine they could make a strong case for cross-buy/play like Dragon's Crown).
  • Answer
So the KS rewards are PCs only. You can play it on any PC. Install it on any system and it'd work. We will never be selling or pledging Android/iOS versions before launch. In terms of PS4/VITA, we will be setting up a different pledge system on our official website soon! We were told we were not allowed to sell the actual game but we can give you DLC unlock. Sorry, but this is the best we can do, that's why we did this as an addon to the $120 pack.
  • Answer 2
We are not selling a PLAYSTATION's Collector's Edition of the game. We are only selling the PC version. However, the Treasure Hunter pack will include a PLAYSTATION code that allows the unlock of certain items if you buy the Download version of the game FOR FREE. The new and the old $120 tier is exactly the same... one is a typo, and one is not. They will both receive the PS code and Fiery Steed.

[update#22, September 09-13]

About Development[edit | edit source]

  • Question
Can the stretch goals we do not reach possibly be kickstarted or released as DLC in the future?
  • Answer
I don’t like the idea of chipping away at people’s money when selling DLC's. Now, that’s different than Kickstarting a game, because we need that money to develop it. So yes – if we do not reach the goals, but want to release them later, we will Kickstart a free DLC update for the game.

  • Question
When will we see more music from Tomoki Miyoshi?
  • Answer
The reason you have only seen one track of his so far (Elven Glades WIP) is because he has been busy finishing up a project called Majin Station by Little Vibe. We plan to hear more from him soon as he finishes that up.

  • Question
What do you think about the recent examples of Sexism in the Japanese Gaming Industry? (Dragon’s Crown and Quiet in MGS5) Will Project Phoenix avoid this?
  • Answer
Yes – we believe it will. The fact that our two Japanese-inspired characters from Akitsu are female supports this. Our game will be built on a western sense of equality and values. You can see that with Satsuki, she is rather heavily clothed. We plan on keeping equality in mind for all characters and plan to avoid tropes like large breasts or skimpy armor.

  • Question
How much freedom will a $750+ backer have over the appearance and personality of their personalized characters and bosses?
  • Answer
As long as it fits into the lore and story we are trying to present, you can ask for whatever you want. We will let you know if any requests have to be turned down.

  • Question
What is the target age group for the story? Target rating for the game?
  • Answer
We plan on avoiding blood in the game, as we find in unnecessary. We are aiming for a Teen or equivalent rating to allow teens to experience our game – but we are aiming the story and it’s depth and complexity at adults.

  • Question
What started all of this for you Hiroaki?
  • Answer
Nobody was making the game that we felt Japanese and Western players wanted – what we wanted. So after finding a bunch of like-minded creators, we created Project Phoenix.

  • Question
What is the current deal with backing the PS4 and Vita versions?
  • Answer
We have spoken with Sony and gotten permission to publish the game on PS4 and Vita. We are still deciding on cost, release, and codes. Sony has restrictions in place that we need to work around before we can begin to offer any PS4 or Vita pledges on our Paypal store. Do not worry; we plan on making them available for backing ASAP.

  • Question
How much influence will Developer+ backers have on the game?
  • Answer
We do listen to all feedback – especially that of our developers and higher backers. We’ve actually already begun implementing ideas that we’ve gotten from you all into the plans for the game.

  • Question
Related to the Usernames, what name will be published in the game credits for Developer + Backers? Username, or will the user be able to choose?
  • Answer
As long as the handle or name requested is not offensive to others, they can use it in the Credits.

  • Question
As a Developer+ Backer, how much can we contribute to the project? Can we be assigned tasks like Coding?
  • Answer
It depends on what you are willing to do and what you can do, but if you are able to help out, we are willing to accommodate if it matches our needs. Specific tasks haven’t been determined as of yet.

Merchandise Suggestions/Information[edit | edit source]

  • Question
Ruffles Nendoroid?
  • Answer
It’d be a huge hit!

  • Question
Will the soundtrack be available to purchase after the kickstarter?
  • Answer

Facts[edit | edit source]

  • The Limited Edition figure will be available if you add +250$ to your pledge amount if you pledged under 950$ (Puppeteer tier 950$ and above - discounted pricing of 200$ on the Sylrianah figurine, +250$ for a standalone Sylrianah figurine with tiers below Puppeteer). For Manager tier and above, the Sylrianah figurine will come with the tier. The GSC Limited Edition Sylrianah figurine will be available for some time after the KS campaign on our website for 250$. The Standard Edition will be available only from GSC (Good Smiles Company) directly. The GSC Standard Edition Sylrianah will not contribute to the development of the game, nor will it have special features outlined in [update#20, September 08-13]. Shipping is included within the tiers.
  • The Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita codes are available if you pledge $120 or more for the Treasure Hunter tier (or any other tiers above this), you will receive a code to redeem the in-game items: Phoenix Egg, Phoenix Mount, Phoenix Cape and Phoenix Wings.
